well yes its Sean Connery, but he looks far from his dashing self when he played James bond!

The Bond producers, Harry Saltzman and Cubby Broccoli, cast Sean as 007 because they liked the fact that he was a big man who nonetheless moved gracefully - 'like a cat'. Sean triumphed in Dr No, alongside Ursula Andress in 1962. After Dr No, Sean made two more Bond movies - To Russia With Love and Goldfinger - in quick succession.
When Goldfinger opened in London in 1964, it was to scenes of mob hysteria. Sean was a box-office star - in Japan he was bigger than The Beatles.
He still is my favorite Bond!
